Its been a crazy year at the little mexican’s day job… and I’ve also been traveling a bit, sampling brews in San Diego and Bear Lake, ID. But I want / need to brew soon!
I’m planning a crisp and refreshing summer brew. Hope to have more details soon!

Dear Utah AHA, BA and Support Your Local Brewery Members,
Thank you to everyone who attended the House Business and Labor Committee hearing or contacted the members of the committee on behalf of House Bill HB51 to legalize homebrewing in the state of Utah. Your efforts directly resulted in the bill being passed out of committee with a unanimous recommendation for passage by the full House.
The bill went to a vote before the full House the next day on Wednesday and passed by a 66 to 7 margin.
HB51 now moves on to the Senate, which unlike the House, did not see this bill in the 2008 session. As of yet, it has not been assigned to a Senate Committee, but that could happen at any time. You can track the bill’s progress at http://le.utah.gov/~2009/status/hbillsta/hb0051.htm.
Given how fast this bill has been moving through the legislature, we need you to ACT NOW to ensure passage by the Senate.
Please call or email your Senator and politely urge him/her to pass HB51. You can find contact information for your Senator at: http://www.le.state.ut.us/Documents/find.htm.
Thank you for your efforts in helping to make homebrewing legal in Utah!

This is the proposed amendment to Utah Law giving people like myself the right to brew at home. Lets go Utah! You can do it.
